We are very excited to introduce the powerhouse duo behind WAXIT Malll of the South., our very first micro-franchise store. Thuli and Precious are long-standing WAXIT leaders who have transitioned from dedicated employees to proud business owners. They bring a blend of passion, resilience, and deep love for the WAXIT brand, and we are excited to see them flourish as they embark on this historic new journey together.

Thuli Ngwenya

Thuli’s journey with WAXIT is a true testament to dedication and growth. After studying cosmetology and graduating in 2008, she began her career as a beauty therapist, gaining valuable experience across various salons and spas. In 2015, she found her home at WAXIT, where she fell in love with the brand and its exceptional standards. Over the past decade, Thuli has immersed herself in learning every aspect of the business. Today, she is incredibly proud to take the next step in her career as our first micro-franchisee. Outside of her professional life, Thuli is a devoted mother to a beautiful daughter and cherishes the simple joys in life.

Hobbies: Spending quality time with family and friends, and enjoying quiet time indoors with a good movie

Precious Matabane

Born in Limpopo, developed resilience, responsibility, and leadership from a young age as the eldest sibling and only girl in her family. Her career began in the retail sector and in November 2020 and opportunity at WAXIT presented itself. Precious was captivated from her very first day by the pristine environment and the brand's exclusive focus on waxing. What started as a new job quickly evolved into her pride and joy, fostering immense personal growth. Driven by a genuine passion for the brand and its caring culture, Precious was selected to become the second member of the team beacuse of her great knowledge of store operations and the WAXIT standrads. She is a naturally social person who loves connecting with others and is a proud wife and mother to two beautiful children who inspire her daily.

Neil & Brigette De La Harpe

Neil brings the creativity, Brigette brings the strategy, and together they’re the duo powering WAXIT Mainstream. After more than two decades as a “Swiss Army knife” creative, Neil swapped pixels for precision strips, putting his eye for detail into a new kind of design: smooth confidence.

 

Brigette, a long-time WAXIT fan and seasoned in all things ops management, has always believed in the brand’s magic. She was the first to nudge Neil into exploring the idea, and the rest is history. While Neil is the day-to-day face of the business, Brigette still features as the number one cheerleader, client-turned-owner, and co-captain of the ship.

 

For both of them, WAXIT is a place where confidence is crafted, conversations are warm, and clients leave feeling like the best version of themselves.

 

When they’re not in the studio, you’ll find them out in nature: walking their dog, Riley, through Tokai forest, exploring Cape Town’s beaches, or sneaking in a Formula 1 race on the couch with both of their cats (Neil never misses a chance to back Red Bull).

 

Favourite Treatment: Neil’s still working up to his first wax (watch this space, he’s promised to film it).
