WAXIT Kyalami Corner re-opened it’s doors after a refurb with Tracy Tuck as the new Franchisee of Smooth on 1 March 2023.

Tracy first learnt to wax back in high school… boarding school monotony was a great catalyst for creativity! And she has been self-waxing ever since… although not always successfully! At university she overheated a pot of wax and set fire to the digs stove. In her first home she blew up the microwave trying to warm her wax in a tin container! Despite all the obvious signs, it has taken 35 years for Tracy to finally acknowledge that waxing is best left to the experts. And so begins her journey with WAXIT.

WAXIT is a family affair. Franchise owner Michelle Royston is Tracy’s sister-in-law, and Julie Hyams, the owner of WAXIT Lonehill, is her sister. Watching Michelle grow the brand from a single salon to a successful franchise, as well as seeing WAXIT Lonehill flourish under the nurturing management of Julie, helped Tracy make the decision to purchase WAXIT Kyalami.

Her background is deeply entrenched in Marketing and Public Relations, a creative industry she has worked in for 25+ years. Her experience ranges from small PR agencies to large global branding agencies as well as successfully running her own communications agency since 2006. This experience will allow her to elevate WAXIT Kyalami’s market permeation and ultimately grow the salon's client base.



Hobbies: Tracy’s world is centred around her 8yr old daughter Emma, her 3 fur babies, and her husband Brandon. When not navigating Grade 3 homework, she likes to spend social time with good friends, eating out and watching movies. For relaxation, she enjoys anything with a creative outlet, particularly in arts and crafts.
