Our 14^th wax bar opened in November 2022 in Kempton Park with Karina Keet as our Franchisee of Smooth!

Karina comes from a financial background and worked for her previous employer for almost 14 years. Karina is also the mother to a 17-year-old son, but as he heads off to follow his dreams soon, Karina decided she was also ready for a new adventure. After meeting Michelle Royston, WAXIT’s Founder and Director, Karina immediately knew that with the business model, passion and enthusiasm for the WAXIT brand, this would be the perfect franchise for her to join. “With extensive knowledge about the products, the business and a great team to work with, how can you not want to own a WAXIT?” Karina says.

We know that Karina will be one franchisee that no one will want to mess with - she obtained her black belt in Jiujitsu (First Dan) in 2020 – a massive accomplishment indeed! Karina is looking forward to her new journey as a Franchisee of Smooth in the busy Glen Acres Shopping Centre located in Kempton Park.
